Green Rhinos: Be a force for Nature
Vision: An earth where the community, led by young people, adopts a lifestyle that leads to ecological resilience.
Mission: To create youth nature leaders.
The Green Rhino Program creates youth nature leaders through a transformational leadership process. It ignites in them a passion for nature conservation that stays with the participants throughout their lives. We work with school students in the age group 12 to 18 years. The Green Rhinos Program is presently conducted with schools in urban, rural and forest fringe areas of India. It is our aim to spread the Program globally from 2020 onwards.
Over 5000 Green Rhinos have been created in Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary, Sundarbans Biosphere Reserve, forest fringe villages of Jaldapara National Park and Gorumara National Park. Delhi, Hisar, Ransi village (Uttarakhand), Kolkata, Siliguri, Kharagpur etc.We work with government schools with funds provided by grant making foundations and corporations as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
